  • Pretend to be a dahlia breeder and grow lotsssss of dahlias from seed for the pollinators AND because I love a new challenge

  • Offer limited custom retail orders all season

  • Open up the schedule for a few WEDDINGS! Lets do it, why not!? Are we a match? Click here to see!

Who We Are

Welcome

I’m Sarah, the founder of Eden Roots Flower Farm. I have been an avid flower and design lover since childhood, and building this farm on my native Kentucky soil is a dream come true. My vision for Eden Roots is that it will make the little piece of the world we’ve been given a vessel to share peace, community, beauty and meaningful work. I love floral design and digging in the dirt- both are energizing, inspiring and continually give me more love for the world around me.

The Farm

Our farm is located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. This year, we are going back to our roots and growing flowers from seed. It is my favorite way. Our flowers will come freshly cut from the field, free of any harmful chemicals. We use organic farming methods and make all decisions with our local ecology in mind. We are mindful of the waste that can be created from farming and design work and are attempting to decrease our plastic consumption by recycling supplies and using soil blocks in place of plastic trays when possible. We have also deleted landscape fabric from our line up and are practicing companion planting and lots of hand weeding, always.

My Family

Ultimately, I run a kitchen and in home childcare that operates 24/7, 365 days a year…for my husband and kids. The pay isn’t great, but they are my people and I love them. They make me a better person and make my life more beautiful every day. Running the farm and our home is a total balancing act, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Ok, lets be honest, maybe I would choose less of a balancing act but I will take what I can get! When all of this started, my oldest was a little baby. Time flies. The farm’s offerings and focus shifts in reaction to the needs of my family year to year. And I kind of love that because it’s always different!
